A fun, family and dog friendly event, offering 5k and 10k race distances. Whether you choose to wear an elephant onesie, your regular running gear or face paint it up, whatever your style, we can’t wait to dash to the finish line with you in an effort to bring awareness and much needed support to the conservation projects of the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust.
Get your little elephant runners involved! Our 5k course is suitable for all-terrain buggies and little walkers. Plus, we’ll also have face painting and other activities to be announced.
We are also offering a special 1k kids fun run (for 11 year olds and under), taking place before the 5k and 10k at 10.30am. Registration for the 1k kids fun run is on the day only at our Registration Tent and costs £2 per child. It also includes free entry for one accompanying adult for the 1k kids race only.
Dogs are welcome at the run, just be sure to register your canine companion when signing up for the run. Registration for dogs is £3 and includes a Sheldrick Wildlife Trust dog bandana! As online registration is now closed, you can register your dog on the day at the Registration Tent. Please adhere to our race rules found in your Terms and Conditions.
Your registration fee enables us to put on an awesome event, but it’s your fundraising efforts that enable us to do more to help elephants. Setting up an online fundraising page is the easiest way to start.
We sell elephant onesies, running t-shirts and elephant headbands for an additional fee but you can wear whatever you want to show your support for elephants. Don’t forget, we’ll also have face painters on the day.
The 10k run is restricted to those aged 12 and over, but please remain mindful that this is a bit of a distance. The 5k does not have any age restrictions, but as it is 5k, again you must be mindful that it is a bit of a distance. Our 1k kids fun run is restricted to children aged 11 years and under. Any persons under the age of 16 years old must be accompanied whilst taking on the run or at the venue by a responsible and registered guardian at all times.
Chip timing is provided for participants taking part in both the 5k and 10k races (excluding those 3 years and under), but there is certainly no pressure to run as fast as you can! There will be plenty of people strolling, and pushing their buggies. Participants must return their chips as soon as they have finished their race.
The start / finishing line is located at the Fun Fair site, a 2 minute walk from the bandstand on Clapham Common. The race/s will start and finish in the event village area.
